worried of fascism taking root in india ?

i am worried. a wee bit . not more . not enough to lose sleep. not till 5 am. i am sure. know why  ?

fascism is very much like selfishness. incidentally what is wrong with selfishness ? it is my birth right. to protect myself and enhance myself. the only problem is that it is the right of my friend my  neighbor  my enemy too. so my selfishness will clash with his selfishness. and eventually selfishness will learn  to  confine itself to safe limits. in this steady state selfishness is manageable. so we live with it.

fascism, soft or hard, will follow the path traced by selfishness. my fascism will clash with your fascism.  for a short period. ( especially in india. we are not known for staying power ) and finally will  declare truce. and stand off at safe distance. of course making faces at each other. ( this is what we are really good at ).

so fascism is not worth losing your early morning sleep.

warning: stomach churning content

"I was threatened so many times that I just decided to accept what they wanted. I was nine then. I had become a prostitute.”

“Once they undressed me, tied me to the ceiling fan and then turned it on,” she remembers. “I was slapped as I was spinning around.”

“The worst cases I have heard are of children being taken from their mothers when they are still in hospital after giving birth,” Seena says. “They are sold on to eventually be used in the brothels when they are still primary school age.

Dishita was kept locked up in a room only big enough for a tiny mattress. Food would be pushed through a slot; she had to knock on the door for hours before being allowed to the toilet.

an unbelievable story to explain the missing plane

here is a story i recently read on
the tragedy of the malaysian plane

'''The American is withdrawing from the Afghanistan, one of their command and control system (used for controlling the pilotless drones) was hijacked by the Talebans when the American transport convoy was moving down from one of the hill top bases. The Talebans ambushed the convoy and killed 2 American Seal personnel, seized the equipment/weapons, including the command and control system which weighed about 20 tons and packed into 6 crates. This happened about a month ago in Feb 2014.

What the Talebans want is money. They want to sell the system to the Russian or the Chinese. The Russian is too busy in Ukraine. The Chinese are hungry for the system's technology. Just imagine if the Chinese master the technology behind the command and control system, all the American drones will become useless. So the Chinese sent 8 top defense scientists to check the system and agreed to pay millions for it.

Sometime in early Mar 2014,  the 8 scientists and the 6 crates made their way to Malaysia, thinking that it was the best covert way to avoid detection. The cargo was then kept in the Embassy under diplomatic protection.  Meanwhile the American has engaged the assistance of Israeli intelligence, and together they are determined to intercept and recapture the cargo.

The Chinese calculated that it will be safe to transport it via civilian aircraft so as to avoid suspicion. After all the direct flight from KL to Beijing takes only 4 and half hours, and the American will not hijack or harm the civilian. So MH370 is the perfect carrier.

There are 5 American and Israeli agents onboard who are familiar with Boeing operation. The 2 "Iranians" with stolen passports could be among them.

When MH370 is about to leave the Malaysian air space and reporting to Vietnamese air control, one American AWAC jammed their signal, disabled the pilot control system and switched over to remote control mode. That was when the plane suddenly lost altitude momentarily.

How the AWAC can do it ? Remember 911 incident ? After the 911 incident, all Boeing aircraft (and possibly all Airbus) are installed with remote control system to counter terrorist hijacking. Since then all the Boeing could be remote controlled by ground control tower. The same remote control system used to control the pilotless spy aircraft and drones.

The 5 American/Israeli agents soon took over the plane, switched off the transponder and other communication system, changed course and flew westwards. They dare not fly east to Philippines or Guam because the whole South China Sea air space was covered by Chinese surveillance radar and satellite.

The Malaysian, Thai and Indian military radars actually detected the unidentified aircraft but did not react professionally.

The plane flew over North Sumatra, Anambas, South India and then landed at Maldives (some villagers saw the aircraft landing), refuelled and continued its flight to Garcia Deigo, the American Air Base in the middle of Indian Ocean. The cargo and the black box were removed. The passengers were silenced via natural means, lack of oxygen. They believe only dead person will not talk. The MH370 with dead passengers were air borne again via remote control and crashed into South Indian Ocean, make it to believe that the plane eventually ran out of fuel and crashed, and blame the defiant captain and copilot.

The American has put up a good show. First diverting all the attention and search effort in the South China Sea while the plane made their way to Indian Ocean. Then they came out with some conflicting statement and evidence to confuse the world. The Australian is the co-actor.

The amount of effort put up by China, in terms of the number of search aircraft, ships and satellites, searching first the South China Sea, then the Malacca Straits and the Indian Ocean  is unprecedented. This showed that the China is very concerned, not so much because of the many Chinese civilian passengers, but mainly the high value cargo and its 8 top defense scientists. '''

unbelievable ? yes . but not as much as the real incident.

there are a few things which stand out which bring the
story out of the  'pure fantasy' segment into the' not impossible'
realm.

1.  it is almost certain that the plane was remote controlled
     atleast for some time.
2.  the delay is almost deliberate. so is the attempt to divert
     attention.
3.  that there is a plan is evident. and that the original plan
failed  and had to be modified.

the original plan probably was to recover the cargo and return
the plane. killing the passengers was not planned. but something
went wrong which led to the decision to sacrifice of the passengers
and the plane.what went wrong may remain a military secret.
for quite some time .

that war

excerpts from the book
(for more
      http://www.esamskriti.com/essay-chapters/Indo-Chinese-war-of-1962-1.aspx )

Guilty Men of 1962  by  D R Mankekar

Why was China in a hurry to declare a cease-fire in November? Firstly, being November the Himalayan winter was approaching. The Chinese had to decide whether they wanted to take the war to the plains with their communication lines likely to be distended by snow or capitalize on their gains. Also the govt had many problems at home. Secondly, Anglo-American aid was a decisive factor; the first plane load had arrived on November 3. Thirdly the tide of world opinion was turning against China. India realized that many of its friends in the Afro-Asia block did not stand up for her. (Old story! Sorry for sounding cynical but when the Kandhar hijack happened, Britian, Germany, China, Bangladesh – none stood up for us )

Lastly, the Chinese had captured the strategic area in Akshai Chin.
.......

Amongst the guilty, next to Nehru, Menon and the military leaders, was the Opposition. They were largely responsible for pushing Nehru into a corner and forcing him to fight the Chinese at the wrong time and place. Nor can they escape responsibility for ignoring the defence needs esp. after 1959.

more on the book

yes i read the book. i repeat it is a good read.

what stand out are a few revelations like
amma too mensrtuated like other women
and had sex with a colleague. and that gail herself
had to consent to sex with a colleague against her
wish, well, almost. and that amma lost temper many
times in private as against her ever composed
posture in public.
i fail to understand what earth shattering impact
these revelation-looking-allegations can have either
on the ashram or its activities except to prove that
all the players in this great drama are human beings.
who are imperfect by design possibly divine.

i reiterate that i personally do not consider these things
as a blot on the  great amma movement and i hastily add
i am no fan and never met amma nor been to the ashram.

i have posted a few articles in my e daily
   http://paper.li/joymaran/1379642613
( look for the 4th march edition under archives
if they are not in the current edition of the paper )
from the other side to get a little closer to the truth.

my conclusion is that gail got physically and mentally
tired of the ever increasing demand on her time and faith
made by the ashram and finally she called quits. i fail to
see anything unnatural here too.

i read with delight  the  trance and heavenly
tranquility gail felt  during the early days in the
ashram. and the rare times when she felt she was with god.
i only hope they are true and not exaggerated beyond
the limit that is assumed for  fiction.
